Report a Lost/Stolen Card
Should your Western CT VISA® Credit Card or your Western CT VISA Check Card become lost or stolen, it is extremely important that you report it immediately. As soon as it is reported, we can place a block on the card to prevent fraudulent charges from coming through. If you notice that your card is missing, call the Credit Union A.S.A.P.
Our business hours are from 8:30-3:00 Monday thru Wednesday, 8:30-5:30 Thursday, and 8:30-5:00 Friday, and 9:00-12:00 on Saturday. You can reach us during business hours by calling 203-791-9399 option 3.
For after hours service, please use the following numbers if card is lost or stolen.
Here are some things you can to help protect your account against unauthorized activity:
- Review your account history regularly. You can use our Internet Banking system to review your most recent transactions. Otherwise review your statements each month as soon as you receive them in the mail. If you see any unfamiliar charges, you should contact us immediately!
- NEVER give your card number out unless you agree to the charges (Ex. Don’t be fooled by those so-called free online offers that require a card number for verification.)
- Keep us informed of changes to your contact information. The Credit Union monitors for suspicous activity and may place a temporary freeze on your card until we are able to contact you to verify the legitimacy of the transactions. The fastest way for us to reach you is by phone, so be sure we have the correct phone numbers for you on file next time you speak with us, or use this form, Update Contact Information.
Remember, as long as you report your lost or stolen card to us immediately, you are not responsible for fraudulent charges! You have ZERO LIABILITY with your Western CT VISA cards.
